First!

Any rumors out there about the Hawks and a center/face-off specialist?

Not sure how I feel about Dubinsky.
Clarkson is going to be available?

Someone else is reporting that. I have not heard it beyond that.

Clarkson and Neil would be great pickups at the trade deadline if they could make both happen....

Hard to believe Ottawa would let Neil go. Ottawa is an incredibly hard working and very physical team. Neil has been such an integral part and a leader of the Ottawa story. Obviously, he would be a great fit for Chicago. Makes you wonder what Chicago is dangling that keeps Ottawa so interested.

I like what Neil can bring, I'm just not sure I'm a big fan of a 33-34 year old Chris Neil with 2-years left on his contract after this year.

Leddy is an awful lot to give up for Niel.

Ottawa and New Jersey are in the playoffs right now and will be in the race until the end. I don't think Neil and Clarkson will be available, as they are really important players to their respective team.

Dubinski is but his contract is awful. And you guys already have cap issues for next year.

John,

In your opinion who do you think the Hawks will be willing to part with
in a trade and aside from the core who would be your untouchables?

If the 'Hawks dangled Leddy, OTT would have jumped at the chance.

I guess that's what OTT is asking but the 'Hawks are saying otherwise.

Granted Leddy is an RFA due for a nice raise but we're talking nearly a 12-year age difference here.

With New Jersey in the playoff hunt, ( and as important as playoff revenue is to a shaky ownership group.) I can't see the Devils shipping off Clarkson. Unless it was for a player performing well at a reasonable contract. Don't see who that would be on the Hawks. I don't see it.

The other names are all very interesting. I think both Senator players and both Maple Leaf players would be good additions. Will be interesting to see the price on Klumein or Macaurthur is. I want to say Macarthur for a 1st was discussed last year.

The Duber rumors are odd only because I've been reading about how Duber is a hit in the locker room and has surplanted Jack Johnson as the new favorite to become the Blue Jacket captain. Of course, there's a rumor about Jack Johnson going to the Penguins so who knows....

If Bowman deals Leddy for Neil, he should be fired immediately.

I could see the Dubi rumors being true if only because their new GM wants to make this team his own. Would likely take a lot to get him though.

Maybe Stalberg and Leddy for Bishop and Neil.

I believe that Bowman really knows Crawford or Emery will not take them deep into the playoffs. I don't think Bishop is the answer. Don't need to look at the numbers. The Hawks are an offensive juggernaut. Goalie vulnerability has been masked by the overall strength of the team.

Do you think the Hawks could make a knock your socks off offer for Anderson?

Figure WSH and BUF would be more likely. Both are 7 pts behind the 8th place team. WSH has 4 teams to pass, BUF has 6; to get to the 8th spot.

Would love to see Ott from BUF get in CHI, but the price would be Leddy+. SB would then need to shore up the 3rd pairing. Rosival and Brookbank every night would almost guarantee more TOI for 2, 4, 7 & 27.

I like the idea of dubinsky, dont like the contract of dubinsky.

Especially since rumors have floated around in the last year that he had picked up a nose candy problem and was reason he found himself in the doghouse in NY and why Sather shipped him out 1 year into his new contract

You're talking about a family that won Cups with Chris Osgood as their backstop, and you think they have no faith in Corey Crawford?

Puck possession and team defense are the principle trademarks of Bowman Sr. teams, and Jr. looks to be following in the same suit. I'd be hard-pressed to believe Bowman was going to deal a young, talented puck-moving defenseman like Leddy for a guy like Bishop. You'd have piqued my interest if you'd said Lehner though...

Unless Bowman has decided Leddy is un-signable, that might be the dumbest move of his tenure.

WTF, Ott demands Leddy plus? My goodness boys some of the prices being layed out for roll players is a tad askew. Lets tighten it up out there.

That seems a high price for the Hawks to pay unless Bishop is good enough to be the starting goalie and un significant upgrade over Crawford and Emery.
